A community voice.
A checkable record.
We take a position. We also owe readers accurate facts, visible sources, and room for a fair response.
Rural communities deserve a real say.
We oppose industrial wind development that puts McKean County’s rural landscape at risk. We advocate for transparent plans, strong local protections, responsible land decisions, and meaningful participation by the people who live here. Those are our positions and judgments—not findings that the developer has broken the law.

BlackCherryWind.com is operated as a community commentary and advocacy website. It is not the official website of the Black Cherry Wind project and is not owned, operated, sponsored, endorsed by, or affiliated with Swift Current Energy, Black Cherry Wind Power, LLC, or their affiliates. The standards behind the criticism.
- Link the record. Factual findings should identify the source, date, and relevant PDF page. We distinguish a source’s statement from an independently established conclusion.
- Show the limits. A MET application is not a turbine layout. An FAA determination covers its specified proposal. A single released easement is not proof of project cancellation.
- Keep material context. We include relevant explanations, favorable findings, and qualifications even when they complicate our criticism.
- Label commentary and allegations. Opinion should disclose its factual basis. Litigation allegations, if reported, are attributed and distinguished from court findings.
- Verify before publication. Tips and external material are leads for review. No visitor submission is published automatically.
- Correct the record. We review specific, supported correction requests and log substantive published corrections. Newer filings can change an earlier assessment.
- Offer a response route. The developer and anyone addressed in our reporting may submit a response or supporting records through the community desk. We review relevant, attributable material and may summarize or publish it with context. This is an open submission route, not a claim that a response has already been requested.
How the archive is used.
This website links to PDF copies hosted at BlackCherryScam.com ↗. It is a distinct presentation with its own URLs and editorial organization. The source copies are community-hosted versions of apparent original documents; they have not been independently certified by a government custodian. If exact legal effect or present status matters, obtain current records from the responsible agency or recorder.
Disclaimer & scope.
This publication provides public-interest reporting, advocacy, and commentary about a proposed development. Unless expressly identified as a court or agency finding, our analysis and questions are not legal, engineering, medical, or regulatory determinations. Information is presented as of the stated record and review dates. Later filings, decisions, or facts may change the analysis.
A question identifies information we want clarified; it does not by itself establish wrongdoing or that anyone has refused to answer. A linked statement is attributed to its source. An opinion describes our judgment based on the facts disclosed with it. Readers should review the underlying materials and relevant responses.
We aim for accuracy and fair context. This notice does not excuse factual errors or override anyone’s legal rights. No disclaimer guarantees immunity from a lawsuit.
